I manage rescue and adoption kittens through the clinic that are handed in to us by members of the public. Occasionally we take on some kittens from the Queanbeyan Pound that they are unable to look after.
We don't like to perpetuate the idea that people can still buy kittens over the counter at vet clinics, and do thoroughly screen people before allowing meet and greets and then adoptions.
Our kittens come vaccinated, microchipped, wormed, flea treated and desexed. New owners are supplied with a lot of new information, and are encouraged to contact the clinic if there are any concerns or problems throughout the entirety of the cats life.
I also reform and rehome some dogs that are unsuccesful at being rehomed from the pound.
