C.A.P.S for dogs is a non-profit organization that cares for homeless and unwanted dogs, with the primary aim of providing temporary refuge and eventually new homes for abandoned, abused, stray and unwanted dogs.

The overall goal of the organization is to provide animal welfare in Weipa and surrounding areas.

As an animal refuge, C.A.P.S for dogs is the only one in the area to provide a service to the community that takes in these homeless, unwanted animals, thus getting dogs off the street and re -housing them back into society as healthy, de-sexed animals.

We also aim to develop community awareness and education regarding the best practice on dog welfare
