Fonzies Friends is a non-profit organisation, a small group of volunteers dedicated to rescuing animals in need. We consist of four main members, based in the Illawarra region and west Sydney.
Our aim is to give the rescue animals a quality second chance at life and find them loving forever homes.
In many cases, these animals have been mistreated and abandoned.
When they are rescued, they are assessed and treated by a veterinarian and then taken to a suitable foster carers home where they are safe and cared for until we find them their loving forever home.
There are many different ways you can help!
- Foster carers
Foster carers play one of the most important roles in giving these animals a quality second chance at life.
Becoming a foster carer is truly a heart warming experience and it doesn't cost you a cent!
As a foster carer, you simply provide love and a safe and comfortable living environment for the animal to be in while they wait to find their forever home.
While in foster care, these animals are de-sexed, micro-chipped, wormed, flea treated, vaccinated, socialised and rehabilitated if necessary.
Fonzies Friends pay for and provide all veterinarian care, flea and tick prevention, worming, medications and anything else the animal requires.
Whether it be transporting the animal, Letter box drops, Fund-raising, Grooming... Every little bit helps.
Donations of food, bowls, bedding, blankets, towels, collars, leads, flea control, shampoo, worming medication. Any kind of donation to assist us with helping these beautiful animals is greatly appreciated.
