Holly's is a small private rescue based on the Central Yorke Peninsula.
Holly's is the 'friendly rescue' easy to deal with, always helpful and easy to get along with. Holly's works with other rescues as it is 'all about the dogs'
Our mission is to rescue, care for and rehome small dogs, generally senior dogs, but all ages are accepted. Holly's has a Sanctuary dog program, where the aged, frail and dogs with complex medical issues remain with us on the farm, living out their lives in warmth and comfort. Holly's rescue doesn't have kennels! All Holly's dogs spend their time with us or our foster carers as part of the family unit, that is being indoors and interacting with other dogs and people.
Holly's rescues from all areas in South Australia. We take private surrenders and dogs from the pounds.
Holly's accepts surrendered dogs where the owner has gone into care, or passed away. Our aim is to prevent these dogs from being euthanased when their owner can no longer care for them. We have our Vet available 24 hours a day, seven days a week to assist with emergencies. A Holly's Sanctuary dog is guaranteed to live it's life with us in warmth and comfort until he or she passes on. That is Holly's ethos, the 'old crusties' deserve the best care they can have.
We accept 'surrenders' without judgement.
Holly's has Veterinary surgeries, on the Yorke Peninsula, , Port Augusta, in the Riverland and Adelaide. All of these Vets are always on hand with expert advice and excellent care. Our Vets refer their clients to us when they need to surrender a dog, or are looking for a new member of their family.
All of our dogs available for adoption are:
Flea treated if necessary
Checked thoroughly for medical issues
Most of the families that have adopted their new furchild from Holly's keep in touch with us, and we enjoy the regular updates. Holly's receives regular emails, pictures and updates on our former inmates. It says a lot about our rescue, that these people become our friends, and some even come back to visit us. Some former Holly's dogs even visit while their owners go on holiday. How awesome is that? Adopting a dog should be stress free and a happy experience, and that's what you get with Holly's!
Small rescue...big success!

Please note that Holly's DOES NOT UNDERTAKE INTERSTATE ADOPTIONS. This is for the welfare of our dogs, as we don't want them to have to fly or travel enormous distances to their new home.
We would like to see pictures of your garden and fencing, and we obtain a verbal referral from your Vet, if you have one.
If you are the chosen applicant, you will come to Holly's to 'meet and greet' your prospective furchild. If we all agree on the match, you then take your new family member home with you
He / she will go with you for a two week trial, so that we all know that you and the furkid are meant to be! During the trial period, or whenever you need, we are always on the end of your phone if you need friendly helpful advice or something is worrying you.
