About
NO LONGER TAKING ANIMALS INTO CARE
We were a group of private rescuers that took many cats and kittens (and the occasional dog) from the main high kill shelters in Sydney - Blacktown Animal Holding Facility, Renbury Farm Animal Shelter, Hawkesbury Animal Shelter as well as some country pounds.
In most cases, if we didn't take these animals, they would have died.
Unfortunately nothing ever changed - still too many people not desexing and abandoning their pets, councils still doing the same thing and relying on rescues like ours to fix the problem.
We spent many many hours rescuing animals, caring for them, taking them to vets when they were sick and having all their vet work done before rehoming. We also ran all over Sydney and beyond rehoming these animals in our care.
All this took a lot of time ... and a lot of money.
We used our own funds to support these animals and some of our carers ended up using many thousands out of their own pockets. We couldn't continue.
So unless things change radically these animals are the ones to suffer and we feel very sad about this situation.
