About Victorian Ferret Society Inc.
Who are we? What do we do?
We are an incorporated society, consisting of people who love and respect animals ā particularly ferrets.
Our members live in many suburbs of Melbourne and in country towns throughout Victoria.
VFS members act as rescuers and carers, fund raisers educators/teachers and welfare officers.
We liaise with Ferret Societies in all Australian States, and have contact with ferret owners and researchers in Great Britain, Europe and America.
The aims of the Victorian Ferret Society are:
1.The welfare of Ferrets ā to promote the correct care of ferrets.
2.To educate the general public in all facets of ferret husbandry.
3. To care for and re-home discarded, lost & unwanted ferrets & re-home those whose owners cannot be found.
4. To protect the working ferret.
5. To ensure that ferrets for sale are in a healthy condition at the time of sale.
6. To provide interactive venues for ferret owners & enthusiasts.
The Victorian Ferret Society meets on the 2nd Friday of each month (except January) at the Caulfield Scout Hall ā Birch Street, Caulfield South from 7:30pm onwards ā come along so you can meet and learn more about ferrets ā all are welcome.
