Thelma

THELMA is a bundle of energy who loves to run and play tag.

Thelma enjoys playing with her toys she chases the ball you throw and sometimes brings it back too.

She follows you everywhere, is curious and needs to know.

She loves food, not that you can see it looking at her figure. She looks like a mini panther.

She gets on very well with other cats.

At night time she cuddles up to you with her motor running, purring up a storm.

All in all, she has a beautiful character and would be a joy for any cat lover.

Thea

THEA came to Furry Friends Animal Rescue from another rescue charity that was in need. She's a little bit shy and would love gentle company. She has the most luxurious coat and pretty colours. She is a big purrer and loves pats (when she will allow you to). Since being in her foster home, she has become more adventurous with exploring the house and loves to have a chin and cheek rub. Most recently she has become quite chatty and will let her foster mum pick her up for a cuddle. It won't be long until she is wanting to curl up in her foster mum's lap!

She loves to play in the cat tunnel and with her favourite toy - the stuffed kids sock. She can't get enough of it!

Oscar

OSCAR came to Furry Friends Animal Rescue from another rescue charity that was in need. He is beautiful big boy who is a little bit shy at the moment and likes to hide in his own space around new people.

He loves to have pats and adores belly rubs. Oscar is a big purrer and a smoocher. He has started to snuggle in to his foster mum at bed time and looks for her attention whenever he can. He has come a long way since being in foster care, and he is really starting to show his affectionate side and his cheeky personality. He's a really good boy who would make a great companion.

He will need a very loving, caring and gentle human who will be patient with him as he comes out of his shell. A home with no children or older children would be ideal.

Opie

OPIE has had a very rough start to life. After coming into care with FFARQ late 2016, Opie escaped from his carer in January 2017 and was only just found again (& returned to FFARQ) in October 2018. He has spent an entire 21 months fending for himself on the road. It is entirely uncertain how much contact with humans or regular food he has had during this time. But miraculously enough his health has remained stable and he has suffered no lasting damage. A little scratch on the nose was all we could see. Else he got a clean bill of health from the vet.

Opie is still very timid and anxious, and not trusting humans much, but he loves the company of his current foster kitten siblings from another mother, who regularly snuggle up to him. ❤💕

He does tolerate human touch, when approached very gently and slowly, but will hiss and panick when startled. Seems he is still suspicious and unsure whether to consider humans a threat or a blessing? (They currently do bring him food, speak to him in the nicest manner and look after him. But who knows what some of them did to him previously?)

He will require a home where he can slowly get used to his human(s) and be able to gain trust again one little bit at a time.

Preference will be given to persons/families with experience with anxious cats, and we recommend no (small) children at this point. Another peaceful and gentle pet in the household for Opie to bond with could be very beneficial (IF they get along). As would be to adopt Opie and a small kitty friend together, so they can grow up & old together. 💙

Chester

CHESTER, also known as Cheddar, is an affectionate kitty who loves to roll over and show his belly to you. He can be quite shy at first, but will warm up to you quickly. He loves to rub up against you and receive chin scratches from you. He has adorable, little white mittens and beautiful green eyes. He loves his wet food and knows exactly when dinner time is! Chester would suit a quiet, relaxed home where he can be given lots of affection, and a calm spot to call his own.

Chester came from a loving family who were unfortunately no longer able to care for him. So if you can give Chester that stable, family environment that he misses, please enquire about him below.

Tilly

TILLY the tripod is a loving but feisty kitty! She loves to play with her bestie, Steve, who never hurts her, and to chase the red dot or feather toy. After playtime, Tilly likes to snooze contentedly with her human and Steve, and follow you around during the day.

Tilly was run over - twice - before coming to Furry Friends Queensland. One of her back legs had to be amputated, hence her moniker "Tripod". So Tilly is a very special girl looking for a special owner to take good care of her. Tilly sometimes needs a helping hand to get up on the sofa and has a chair by the bed for the same reason. Otherwise she moves fine and has a clean bill of health from the vet.

She LOVES it when you scratch the left side of her chin and head as she can't reach there due to only having three legs. Tilly is absolutely an indoor only cat but she does enjoy an outdoors enclosure.

Her best friend STEVE is an adorable, smoochy boy who will cheekily tap you with his paw to get your attention. They are just adorable together and will make an instant happy feline pair for a super special family.

You'll fall in love with Tilly and Steve. Are you the special family they have been waiting for?
