Cleo plays outside through the day with the other dogs who she loves and gets along with really well. She sleeps inside at night and is now toilet trained.

Molly ~ 1 Year Old Mixed Breed

Give it up for Molly! This gorgeous 1 year old Bits Of Everything dog is looking for her forever home. Will you be the winner? Molly and her satellite ears are looking for a home that promises to love her as much, if not more than her foster family.

Molly is a medium to large size brindle female who will melt your heart with her brown eyes. She requires a special home who understands that she hasn’t had the best start to life, so need to be patient as she learns that you are not a danger to her.

Molly can be scared of humans and tends to bark at strangers who enter the home. Once she gets to know you though, she will be all over you. Personal space is not an option. When it comes to other dogs however, she adores them all. Having come into our home, she welcomes the newbies and helps them settle in as they get used to the place. She cuddles with her foster brother and sister and is a rocket at the beach running around with all the potential new friends. Given this, Molly’s ideal home would be one with a doggy companion.

She also adores children and grew up with them before coming into care. However, because of her size and age she would be best suited to a home with older children. She would not realise her size with a little one.

Molly’s recall is amazing, she comes when she is called. She also picked up toilet training very quickly and has no problem coming in and out to go to the toilet.

Because of her past life, Molly tends to get very distressed on lead and will need some training to educate her that lead = fun.

Molly needs a home that allows her to sleep inside, will give her affection, exercise and will be patient in allowing her to grow and have trust in the world. She is not an escape artist but can clear a 5ft fence with ease so will need a home with high fences. She is also incredibly food driven so is easy to train, but does like a little midnight snack in the bin.

She loves to laze around the house and will lay around you while you potter around the house, so an ideal home would be one who lets her live inside with the family.

If you think you could provide the special home Molly is looking for, please send her mum Teagan an enquiry to tmlang93@gmail.com Molly is in foster care in Charlestown, NSW and is available for adoption interstate.

Molly’s adoption fee is $350 and she is desexed, vaccinated, treated for fleas and worms, microchipped, and lifetime registered.

No photo for Jersey ~ Cattle X Ridgeback

Jersey ~ Cattle X Ridgeback

The story of Jersey is one of a dog who deserves a second chance at a forever home. Jersey was adopted through DRN as a 9 month old puppy and was living a very loved and happy life with her older staffy sister for nearly 2 years. Unfortunately, the addition of a third dog, a male puppy, into the family changed the dynamics irreparably. Jersey has had a rough trot in the last few months and bares the battle scars of wars with her sister. When she arrived back into DRN’s care, she was a sad, confused girl and non-trusting of the foster brothers she previously lived with as a puppy. However, in a short time with lots of patience and love Jersey has begun to flourish once again as a happy, bright, snuggly girl; and so the next chapter of Jersey’s story begins…

Jersey loves to play fetch and will diligently return the ball to you each time for you throw it. Jersey loves to dine alongside her foster brothers with no dramas; she sits patiently until told that it’s time to eat. She knows basic commands such as sit; come; stay; and voluntarily ‘drops’. Jersey loves to go on adventures in the car, she sits quietly, taking in the scenery and is never a distraction while you drive.

Jersey loves nothing more than to smother her family in love and will give the home music with the constant beat of her ever wagging tail. She previously lived with 2 children, and would be suited to a home with kids who are steady on their feet as she can become excited when everyone comes home. Jersey would love a forever family who enjoys taking her on her much loved daily walk and lets her have fun off leash at the beach or lake because she loves to take a swim and do zoomies in the sand. Jersey needs to be close by her family, she is fully housetrained and a perfect houseguest; her favourite place is snuggled up near you inside.

Jersey will require secure and high fencing as her anxiety of being alone can cause her to escape in search of you. However, with her foster brothers she doesn’t try so Jersey needs a home with a brother (dog) to keep her company. She doesn’t want a sister (they always steal your clothes anyway). A friendly, male dog, who is a confident leader and good role model for her sounds just perfect, thank you! She bonds quickly and hard to any human (she would be perfectly suited as a therapy dog - she already has this in her resume).

If you think you could offer sweet Jersey the second chance she dearly deserves please contact Bec (email preferred) 77beccaboo@gmail.com or SMS 0416095409. Jersey is in foster care in Cardiff (Lake Macquarie area of Newcastle) and is not available for adoption interstate.

Jersey’s adoption fee is $350 and she is desexed, vaccinated, treated for fleas and worms, microchipped, and lifetime registered.

Charm ~ 4 Year Old Great Dane X

Charm is an affectionate 4 year old Great Dane X female. She has a gorgeous tiger-striped brindle coat and very longing eyes. Charm is a real people oriented girl who loves being with her family whatever they are doing. She loves to explore nature and adores her daily walk.

Charm is very good with children but would be best suited to children over 10 years of age as she can get over excited when playing. She gets on well with both large and small dogs but is unsuitable for cats, pocket pets and caged birds. Charm loves to play tug, running and being chased. Her favourite toys are sticks and balls but she is happy doing anything as long as she is with her family.
Charm is a bit of a snuggler and will rest her head on your knee then gradually try to crawl into your lap. She likes to spend time in the lounge room on her bed or next to you on the lounge if invited. She can use a dog door and is house trained. Charm is extremely well behaved indoors and will follow you around or find a comfy place to have a snooze. She is happy to sleep all night indoors in her crate or on a comfy bed. On warmer nights, she has been sleeping happily outdoors, on the deck and loves her kennel.

Charm is used to being part of a very loving family and is currently living happily with two other dogs, a retriever and a Labrador. Charm can sit for her food and is able to wait until told to eat. She walks well on lead and can walk past excitable dogs without a bother.

Charm’s perfect home would be with an active single, couple or family with older children. Due to her size she may knock over toddlers when excited (she is slightly taller than a Labrador). Her new family will need to be prepared to continue with training as she is a large dog. She will need to be allowed indoors when the family are at home. Charm can be a little anxious at times and may cry, however she has made great progress and is now able to be left alone while her carer goes to work. She would love to be an only dog so as to get all her human’s attention however she would also enjoy having a doggie friend to play with. Charm will require a high-quality diet as she does appear to have some allergies, possibly to plants and red meat. She will require a moderate to large yard with 5-6 foot fences due to her size.

Charm is a delightful girl and it is easy to fall in love with her. She is a gentle soul but can be a little timid at first but once comfortable loves to play. Charm loves to ease up next to you and get a firm pat on her rump. Does Charm sound like the right girl for you?

No photo for Max ~ 1yo Kelpie X

Max ~ 1yo Kelpie X

Max is a happy, healthy and loving 1yo kelpie x bull Arab. He is a playful boy with a beautiful temperament and lovely nature. He enjoys running and playing with his foster siblings.

Being very intelligent, Max is quite easy to train and always responds well. He is toilet trained, sits and stays on request and walks well on the lead. However, more training is required in these aspects. Being quite a strong and boisterous dog (70cms high, measured at his shoulder), he will need someone comfortable with large dogs when training and walking. Though Max loves children, being big and boisteroous, it would be best if he was around only older children. He needs high fencing and lots of room to run.

With his smooth coat that can easily be cared for with just the occasional bath and brush, Max is very low maintenance. Max suffers a little from separation anxiety, so he would love a home with other canine friends to play with and to be taken for plenty of walks.

If you feel you can provide this deserving dog a loving, permanent home and make him part of your family, please contact Nora on 0418 402 150 or email dogrescuemudgee@gmail.com. Max is in foster care in Mudgee, NSW.

Max was surrendered to Dog Rescue Mudgee through no fault of his own. He is desexed, vaccinated, microchipped and free of fleas and worms. His adoption fee is $300.

Snaffles ~ 9 Month Old Greyhound

Snaffles or Snaff Snaff is a 9 month old Greyhound puppy. He is a complete hoot to have around. He dances to the beat of his own song. Everyday he will do something that will make you laugh and will quickly become a cherished family member.

Considering Snaffles is a puppy, he isn’t that naughty. He is nearly toilet trained and has learnt to do wees on command, in the backyard.

Snaffles broke his leg when he was younger. He now has a plate implanted in his leg. It doesn't stop him from being a normal happy healthy puppy. When he gets a lot older he may get arthritis but for now all he requires is two easy at home exercises. Snaffles will require a x-ray in the near future (this will be covered by Dog Rescue Newcastle.)

Snaffles has been brought up to be part of the family, so he is an inside dog. We are currently teaching him to spend some time outside. Snaffles perfect home would be a family with older teenagers and a second dog of similar size who will enjoy playing with him. A family who will continue his socialisation and training.

Like all greyhounds Snaffles does enjoy his sleeps, however he is a very interactive puppy who will need help. He loves playing with his toys, by himself or with others, car rides, zoomies, swimming, playing with water, chases, learning, cuddles, kisses, excursions, dog walks, puzzle toys and the list goes on.

Snaffles cannot be homed with birds or pocket pets. He has met a couple of cats, he was curious but not overly so. Snaffles has been well socialised around all breeds of dogs.

To find out more about Snaffles adventures, visit https://www.facebook.com/clubgreys.

Greyhounds are a unique breed, reading up on them is expected and appreciated. Snaffles comes with collar, muzzle, coat and ongoing support.

For more information or to meet Snaffles, please contact his foster carer Misty on mistyem@tpg.com.au or 0434373422. Snaffles is in foster care in Wallsend, NSW and is not available for adoption interstate.

Snaffles’ adoption fee is $350 and he is desexed, vaccinated, treated for fleas and worms, microchipped, and lifetime registered.
