Kaiya

Hi my name is Kaiya. Sadly I need a new home as my family are moving overseas and they can’t have a dog where they are going.
I will get some better photo's taken soon.
I’ve lived with children from babies to a toddler and I’m wonderful with them. I love living the city life and visiting cafe’s and the beach as I get patted by everyone and I really like that. I’m an inside dog and house trained, I don’t like dogs rushing up at me, I don’t like it when they have rude manners like that and will tell them so, I don’t like sharing my ball at the park with them either, they can get their own ball :)
I love chasing the ball, it is the best, I love cuddles on the couch, I’m a huge cuddler and I love every human I meet. I’m not destructive and I wont even chew up your shoes or dig up your garden.
I’m protective of the children but not in an aggressive way.
I have got a grass allergy and need medication daily so unless you can pay for that please don’t apply for me.
Below are the medical notes from my current owner. I’m on Apoquel 16mg 100 Tablets $255.50 for the bottle. - takes half a day = $1.28 per day = $38 per month. It took a year working closely with a vet to figure out which medication she needed for her allergy. We think her former family surrendered her because of her allergy and probably inability to figure out how to cure it, as the very seasoned vet at Lort Smith struggled to find an answer. We worked arduously to figure out what she was allergic to, and how to fix it, and were luckily very successful. Apoquel is the wonder cure for her and removes all symptoms, but if she skips more than one dose, she'll start itching herself til she bleeds. Therefore, anyone adopting her has to 100% be on board with sticking with this medication and paying $38/month for her grass allergy. She's a normal dog with the medicine - can do anything any other dog can do.
I’m a lovely girl so I hope my medication doesn’t put you off of adopting me :(
My behavioural assessment will be done in the next few weeks and until I go to a new home I can stay with my current owners but they are leaving to move overseas in June so hopefully I will get a new home before then.
So if you think you can offer me a good forever home where you’ll be able to give me all the above, and, in return, I’ll give you all the love and loyalty you could ask for! Odin

SINGLE DOG HOME
OLDER CHILDREN ONLY
OBEDIENCE A MUST

Hi my name is Odin, I’m a lovely young boy with pedigree papers. I need to go to obedience school to learn how to socialise along with training. I get very excited so I could accidentally knock young children over.
I like the car, I know how to sit but I get excited so I don’t stay sitting for too long.
I’m scared of storms and loud noises.
Unless you want to take me to obedience please don’t apply for.
There are some notes on my behavioural assessment below.

Summary of Test –summary of observation and testing
• Odin is a young and fit dog with a generally calm demeanour
• Generally sociable and comes in for a pat (rolls on his belly)
• Does jump up and nips at feet when arousal levels increase
• Tolerant to some level of touch but would need to exercise caution initially and until he gets to know you
• Some very basic obedience skills and is responsive to his name
• Nil reaction to noises and sudden environmental stimuli
• Some resource guarding of both food bowl and bones (more so with bones)
• Not reactive towards dogs he passes in the street but would recommend exercising caution and nil interaction with other male dogs
• Must attend basic obedience training due to young age and caliber of dog
Adoption Criteria
• Experienced and active people only
• May be too exuberant for young children – older children only.
Adoptability
Adoptability at present: High.

Mishka

SINGLE DOG HOME

Hi my name is Mishka, sadly I was attacked by another dog in a park, it was such a bad dog attack it was life threatening, so since then I have fear based aggression which means I need to have an experienced dog owner who will work on my fear issues which is fixable if you will put in the effort.
I’ve lived with children from baby’s to toddlers and even though I’m very good with them I can accidentally knock them over. Oh and I’ve even lived with a cat who was the boss.
I have pedigree papers which I will give my new owners a copy of.
I know how to sit & stay sitting, I know how to drop and stay, I’m good on the lead but can pull if you let me.
I love to sleep in mink blankets, my owner gets them from the op shop for me, I also love my shell pool, I dig in the water and splash it everywhere, it’s so much fun, I also love the hose and will play with it when it’s turned on, I love the staffy ball and bungee rope.

There are some notes below on my behavioural assessment but please only apply for me if you’re willing to put in the work & help I need.
Summary of Test –summary of observation and testing
• Mishka has a generally calm demeanour but still has a good level of activity for her age
• She is sociable with people but does require you to coax her over
• Tolerant of touch and restraint
• Normal wariness to raised voice and loud sounds
• Nil reaction to whistle
• Nil resource guarding evident at time of testing
• Some basic skills but is not overly responsive when there are competing distractions
• Mishka is dog aggressive
• Recommend some training to help manage/control her reactivity levels
Adoption Criteria
• Experienced owners who are able and willing to get some training help for her aggression to dogs
• Nil other dogs
Adoptability at present: High

Phyllis

Single dog home.
No cats.
Older children
Someone home a lot.

Hi my name is Phyllis and sadly I’m looking for a new home because my owner got very sick.
I’m a lovely senior girl who really loves cuddles and going for walks, although I haven’t had any of those for some time now.
I walk well on the lead and don’t let my age put you off because I don’t act it.
I don’t like cats and might feel threatened if dogs rush up at me especially yappy ones.
I really hope there is someone out there that is home a lot to keep me company and who I can be a good companion for. I’m used to having someone around a lot so I hope I can find a home that can offer that.
So if you think you can offer me a good forever home where you’ll be able to give me all the above, and, in return, I’ll give you all the love and loyalty you could ask for!
