Sox - female domestic short hair kitten
I think the photo says it all! Sox may have a boring name but this little kitty is the definition of the saying big things come in small packages She truly is a tiny thing but is just a powerhouse of energy and purrsonality, always wanting to be on the go. Sox loves playing with other kittens and would love to be adopted with her little friend Patsie, but she can also keep herself occupied for hours on end, playing with everything from fancy cat toys to bits of string to her own tail! But she is also a very affectionate kitten who loves to smooch and cuddle, so you definitely get the best of both worlds with this little one. Sox will make life very fun and a little crazy for the lucky person who takes her home! This little sweetheart is confident and out-going and knows how to stand up for herself, so will do well in a home with kids or other animals.
Now, Sox has had a pretty rough time of it considering how young she is. She was orphaned at only 2 weeks of age and handed in to Cat Haven; a wonderful female, who had weaned her own kittens, took Sox on as a surrogate but despite being a great mother, she simply didn't have enough milk. So Sox's indefatigable foster carer, who had absolutely no bottle-feeding experience whatsoever, got herself a bottle and some Divetelact and started hand-raising Sox herself. It was touch and go for a while but finally she started to thrive and eventually was big enough to come back to the Haven and go up for adoption. Sox came back in the thick of kitten season, with the Haven full to bursting point. She was placed in a pen with 5 other kittens and there she sat. This year has truly been the year of the black and white, so despite her gorgeous face and quirky personality, Sox faded into the crowd a bit. About 10 days after Sox was placed into the pen, it was discovered that one of the kittens she was sharing with had developed a ringworm lesion so all six of them had to be removed before it spread to any other kittens. And now we get to the bit where Sox comes to my house! Sox currently has just a couple of small ringworm lesions that are healing well with treatment - if you are interested in offering this lovely puss a forever home, you can either take her on now and continue treatment, or leave her with me until her symptoms have cleared. Ringworm is a mild and easily treated fungal infection identical to athletes foot, which will have no long term effects on an animal's health. If you are interetsed in little Sox I will be more than happy to run through everything you need to know about her health so please don't be put off. You wouldn't want to miss out on this little one! Adoption is $170 inclusive of sterilisation, mirochipping and 2 F3L vaccinations as well as worm and flea treatment and a bag of Hills kitten food. As mentioned, Sox would love to go home with her little friend Patsie and our 2 for 1 offer means you could have both these girls for just $205!
