On Hold
About Danny -Dwarf Lop -On Hold
*****danny has been waiting for a home since the 3rd of june!!!! *****
danny (on hold -awaiting desexing if the vet thinks he's strong enough to pull through it, and vaccination before going to his new home) is a beautiful lop that has a very inquisitive nature. He loves human company, and enjoys exploring. He has a very outgoing personality, and will make a great family pet. He enjoys being in the big run to hop about but can be quite cheeky when it is time for him to go back into his cage for the night, and is always ready to come out again in the morning. He would rather be hopping around your feet than being held on your lap, so has developed a habit of grabbing the towel he's sitting on and pulling it with his teeth to let you know he wants to be put down. When he has freedon though, he will hop up and lie next to you, and loves his head massages. Special retirement home needed for this boy. He has a large liver which may be like that because of lack of nutrition while growing. Certainly when he arrived he was skin and bone and cancer was highly suspected by our vets. Since being with us he has put on so much weight and now is so healthy you wouldn't know what he was like previously. One vet said his liver was large, but didn't have a hard point which would have indicated damage. We don't really know what is wrong with this boy, but no longer believe he is on deaths door. He is so active and lively now that he may easily have another 5 or more good years to give!
update 13. 9. 09: danny went to the pet expo today, and absolutely loved hopping in the exercise pen and getting all the attention. Thanks to everyone who bent down and gave this eagerly awaiting boy a pat, it really made his day!
