Sparky (On Trial) - medium female australian cattle dog
Sparky and her 'sister' Sunny were rescued from the pound after they were surrendered.
They are very bonded girls who would be best suited if they could be rehomed together.
Sparky wears a red collar and is the leader of the two dogs. Sunny wears a blue collar and is very dependent on Sparky to lead her around.
Even where they are being cared for at the moment, when the girls are taken to the exercise yards the carers only need to put the leash on one of the girls and the other one is right behind them. Although we did see a glimmer of growth in Sunny's character only today when decided to venture away from her sister. It was actually refreshing to see her start to gain some confidence.
Due to the close bond these girls share, ideally a home where they could remain together would be perfect, and is what we are aiming for in their rehoming.
The girls have also obviously been taught wonderful manners and both of them refuse to go to the toilet in their runs, which pretty much makes them a priority at the kennels, where they ensure the girls get out at least 3 times a day to relieve themselves.
