PALM VIEW - Guinea Pig Rescue & Recovery Shelter is one of Brisbane's largest guinea pig shelters - we are heading into our 4th year as an experienced guinea pig team. We are not for profit, NON FUNDED, rescue and rehabilitation shelter for homeless, neglected and mistreated guinea pigs. We are also able to welcome pigs that are being surrendered due to unforseen circumstances with their current family. Palm View Shelter has found a great helper - announcing the opening of The Cavy Courtyard Shelter - where the grass IS greener! The Cavy Courtyard will work along side Palm View as an associate shelter. This will allow us to help a lot more animals in our care between two private premises. Palm View is Proud to announce that as of 2011, are open for Mice and Rats in our shelter too. All shelter animals are given the upmost care, medical, perfect diet - lots of new friends and lovely clean hutches... this way, when they finally get the 'all clear' approval - they will be ready for adoption in peak condition. All of our cavies are 100% healthy and are treated for all sorts of common skin conditions, mites, mange, wormed, prevention treated against Coccidiosis disease... bathed, nails clipped, groomed etc. Our adoption fee goes straight back into the medical costs and day to day running of food expense and housing etc for all of our shelter pigs. All animals deserve the rights of a good home, appropriate housing, perfect diet and care - why should anyone think anything less for guinea pigs? At PALM VIEW, we pride ourselves on morals, high standards, commitment and above all - specialise in Guinea pigs - this way you can be assured you are adopting the very best pet for your family. PALM VIEW has so much more to offer you... we would love to keep in touch with all of our adoptable families - we offer ongoing support with any aspect of your guinea pig's care. We are here to help if you have any questions regarding the health and wellbeing of your pets. We have a fantastic holiday boarding service - cared for by our experienced shelter manager. We offer indoor boarding which is safe, quiet and reassuring for your beloved piggies or small animals. Remember - boarding fees will also be supporting our shelter pigs ... no profit for us. PALM VIEW has everything available for the upkeep of your guinea pigs, from mite treatments to food/hay/shavings and accessories.
