We have been rescuing and rehousing Maremmas and other breeds of Livestock Guardian Dogs for over 10 yrs and have several dogs in care which would suit a variety of situations (ie from Companions in suburbia to companions/working on acreage). We endeavor to find the BEST possible home for each and every dog we take into rescue: this means that we are advocates for the DOG first. Prospective adopters should bear this in mind and try to be patient as we review each enquiry and evaluate each dog's personality to find the BEST possible combination. While some dogs stay in care for extended periods of time, and others are placed relatively quickly, these periods gives us the opportunity to fully evaluate the dog's individual personality and needs, and also affords us the opportunity to place each dog with appropriate adoptive families. No dog will be placed if the placement does not benefit both the new owner and the dog. All our dogs are desexed, microchipped, vaccinated, wormed, flea treated and on heart worm prevention prior to being adopted. Adoption fees apply Donations are always gratefully appreciated towards their food and care, as unlike other dogs, Maremmas take time to find suitable homes for due to their needs being more specific.
