TAKAS incorporates both the livestock guardian breed rescue ANATOLIAN RESCUE and is also a partner of the DROUGHT DOGS PROGRAM. Anatolian Rescue is a not-for-profit breed specific rescue focused on the Anatolian and Central Asian Shepherd Dog. Anatolian Rescue assists in helping to rehome and rehabilitate Anatolian and Central Asian Shepherd Dogs - utilizing a breeder, owner and Rescue cooperation network Australia-wide. All rescue dogs are rehomed desexed, microchipped, vaccinated, wormed, flead and where applicable, include membership to the ASDC (Anatolian Shepherd Dog Club of Australia). The DROUGHT DOGS PROGRAM assists dogs from drought affected areas, transports them to Melbourne and provides them with sanctuary and family until they are lovingly rehomed. 100% of the DDP's adoption fee, goes towards transport, veterinary, food and rehabilitation costs, and ensures that the DDP is able to continue aiding dogs from rural areas in the future.
