Victorian Canine Rescue is a registered non profit buisness. Victorian Canine Rescue are an "all breed" rescue taking on medium to large dogs with the odd small dog, we also work with "special needs" dogs, deaf, blind, old, and dogs with issues that mainstream training hasnt worked on, we take on the dogs that are no longer wanted by their owner for one reason or another, in emergency situations we also rescue dogs that are on death row the ones that time has run out for, the ones that have passed the temperament tests and are good rehomeable dogs but just havent had enought time to find a forever home within the 28 day time frame set down in the code of practice that the shelters are bound to follow, the ones that just need that one last chance. All Victorian Canine Rescue dogs are fully temp tested, vet checked, de-sexed, vaccinated, micro-chipped and have undergone our training programe and are totally rehabilitated prior to them being avaliable for adoption. Victorian Canine Rescue now also offer a training programe to clients that are at the point of surrendering their dog, we work with the owner and the dog in the hope that at the end of the programe both owner and dog have a stronger and better relationship, preventing the dog ending up in the pound or shelter, but if the owner still wants to give the dog up, we gladly take the dog into care, work with the dog so that it can be adopted by new owners willing to give the dog a new start and a second chance at happiness.
