“The greatness of a nation and its moral progress can be judged by the way its animals are treated” Gandhi. Drummoyne Darlings is a newly formed private rescue group based in Drummoyne NSW. We are dedicated to saving the lives of animals from death row or other dire circumstances. We primarily rescue animals from various high kill shelters throughout NSW (and interstate), provide these animals, our darlings, with veterinary treatment and care until they can be responsibly rehomed. We promote adoptions of these rescued animals and try to rehome them in a prompt manner provided they are vet checked and cleared. We have saved over 300 cats and kittens (and several dogs) in the past year and continue to work hard... our primary mission is rehoming these Drummoyne Darlings we save!!! Sophia, Warriewood (Adopted a fluffy blue male kitten) The kittens are settling in to their new home remarkably well. The little black one - "Ruby" has adopted my husband and loves lots of pats while he strokes her. She sleeps on and (in!) his bed during the day. She and her sister "May snow" sleep during the night curled up on the end of our queen bed in the minky rug. They both seem very happy and purr very loudly. Thank you for some wonderful friends. He’s settling in great, loves all his toys and purrs all the time! Thank you both so much again!! Rhea, Coogee (Adopted a grey and white male kitten) I must say I love the kitten! She’s settled down and is fine, she’s just so adorable! Thanks! The kids were very surprised, loved it and are completely taken with her…It’s great. Jessica, Willoughby (Adopted a grey and white female kitten) Precious is well. She tears around the house chasing imaginary things. She is very affectionate. At night she snuggles into the sofa and sleeps. She has a lovely temperament. Cheers.
