Based in Thornleigh, North Shore Animal Rescue (NSAR) is run by Nicky and a dedicated band of volunteers. Founded by Nicky in February 2010, NSAR was set-up to rescue companion animals on Death Row in Sydney Pounds, and to re-home them within the North Shore area of Sydney. All the animals available for adoption have been rescued from ‘Death-Row’. At NSAR, we believe that most Death Row animals would find a new home if only they had more time, so we strive to give them that time, get them healthy and well, and find new, loving (and most importantly) permanent homes for them. NSAR receives no government funding or subsidies, and all our rescue work is paid for out of our own pocket, and from the kind donations received from our supporters. The cost of adopting one of our rescues covers de-sexing, microchipping, vaccination, vet health check and flea/worming treatments. It also enables us to continue to rescue and re-home a Death Row animal. Thank you for helping us to give a Death Row animals a second chance.
