Rabbit Run-Away Orphanage Inc is a not-for-profit organisation, staffed and run by a small dedicated group of volunteers. We are the firsty dedicated rabbit rescue and rehoming service in Victoria. Our goals include the rescue, rehabilitation and adoption of orphaned rabbits. Orphaned bunnies come to Rabbit Run-Away Orphanage as overflow from animal shelters or as dumped and neglected rabbits. We provide orphan bunnies appropriate short-term care, medical treatment and the opportunity to find a new home. All our bunnies are desexed, vaccinated and miccrochipped. We also provide information of bunny care. If you would like to adopt a bunny orphan or if you can provide a temporary foster home or find other ways to assist our bunny orphans please view the pages and links on our site www.rabbitrunaway.org.au or download our Rabbit Run-Away Orphanage Brochure. All of our adopted or fostered bunnies must be housed inside as part of the family. We provide all our bunny owners and foster carers with ongoing training and advice in the keeping healthy and happy bunnies. If you currently have a rabbit, rabbit adoption provides a great opportunity to provide your existing bunny a bunny friend. We can bond your bunny with an orphan bunny to ensure that they like each other. Dr Judi and Mr Bryce Inglis are educators for the House Rabbit Society, the oldest and most respected rabbit welfare organisation in the world. They advocate rabbits as companion house pets. Rabbit Runaway Orphanage is the first dedicated rescue and rehoming service in Victoria.
