Please note: Bob will be rehomed with another dog for company. He is currently being fostered with Socks Macafferty and they have become great little friends. They would love to find a family to share.
Bob is the ultimate optimist. When he came to us he couldn’t use his hind limbs and his fur was all matted. He was in such a terrible state but he still enjoyed some cooked chicken thank you very much. He’s a lovely, gentle little dog, and touched our hearts with his poorly state. After his spinal surgery he surprised the vet surgeon and his foster carer with his amazing quick progress. Though Bob will never leap like a gazelle he loves his walks. He has been going on two 30 - 40 minute walks a day and loves them. He is always extremely pleased when he sees his harness brought out. He can pull a little on the lead with the excitement of going on a walk. Whilst walking he can bark at other dogs, particularly if one of the other dogs he’s walked with barks. Meeting dogs one on one, Bob is quite the gentleman.
Currently Bob is living with other small dogs and cats and he gets on well with all. No big, boisterous dog companions for Bob. He has to be careful, there is no jumping on couches or the bed with his genetic spinal condition but he doesn’t mind, as long as he’s near others, he’s happy. Bob needs eye drops three times a day and will for the rest of his life.
Bob loves his tucker, he loves his walks, he loves company. He’s loving life and will make a wonderful companion for that someone special who will welcome him into their family. And if you are looking for a beautiful duo, Bob would love to share his new friend Socks with you.
Thank you to Lyndsay of Paw Focus Photography for the fantastic photos of Bob.
Please note: our dogs are not available for interstate adoption. We also do not adopt to people under the age of 25 years.

Adoption details
We are a community fostercare network, not a shelter, and our dogs and cats are cared for in private homes. Note that we are very careful where we rehome our dogs and cats and we have an intensive process. If you want a quick turnaround we are not the group for you. If you seem like a good match for the dog of your choice we will organise a telephone chat, a meet and greet and a property check. We offer a six-week full refund, free assistance for six weeks for any issues, and a lifetime takeback policy with a fifty percent refund of the adoption fee.
We care for our dogs and cats and we want you to as well. We know that genuine applicants have no trouble with this process and understand that if we refuse you a dog or cat, it is because you are not the best match for that pet.
Our commitment to the dogs and cats in our care is total and we treat each one as if we are passing on a family pet. This may not suit you so we point out that there are equally great dogs and cats available in pounds, shelters and with other rescue groups.
