About Bolt
I was surrendered to Lort Smith as my previous carers found that I needed a lot more time and attention than they could give me.
My new adopters will need to be patient with me, as I am just a pup and have not had much experience with the big wide world. I can get overly excited and at times unintentionally hurt my handler when I jump up, scratch and mouth hands and arms. It would be best if I go to a home that have had experience with large breed dogs such as myself. Please bare in mind that I will grow much bigger and this is why it’s so important for me to learn manners whilst I am young.
I am playful, active, intelligent and an extremely loving pup and would love my new carers to take me to one on one obedience training, so I can continue to learn, build confidence and work on my manners.
My new carers will need to continue with ongoing controlled and positive socialisation, exposure to new environments and exploring the unknown. This will help me on my way to becoming a well-rounded and confident dog.
I am a pretty active boy, so I will need a family that will be able to keep up with me and be able to provide daily activity and mental enrichment.
At this time, I will not be able to go to a home with any children or other animals, as I can be a little rough and do not know my own size and strength.
If you think I sound like a perfect fit for you, please contact the Lort Smith Adoption Hub.
