About Macy
Macy is Adoption Ready. ❤
Little Macy is still a pup at about a year old.
She ended up in the pound late last year having recently given birth.
There was no sign of her babies.
Just a baby herself she was scared, sore and malnourished when she arrived into care.
Time and love are great healers and Macy is a brand new girl today.
She is ready to bless one very lucky home with a lifetime of love and laughter.
What can we say about Macy?
Lots !
She has a super happy disposition and her face lights up when she sees you.
This joy is only accentuated by her super waggy tail.
She will jump up on you so we have been working on her not to do this.
Because of this, at this stage we would suggest older children would be more suited that tinies.
She has the biggest smile and enjoys being around other dogs all shapes, sizes and ages.
Quite a slight build, she is medium sized and her coat is so super soft.
What breed is she?
In truth, we really don’t really know.
The pound said she was a whippet type, our vet thinks she could be a BA x, Lab x or even a bit of Kelpie.
She does not have the high energy of a kelpie and prefers to play with her foster siblings then snooze on one of the many beds or in one of the armchairs for much of the day.
If allowed she would happily sleep on your bed.
She sneakily pops up while you are fast asleep.
She is full toilet trained, knows how to use a doggy door and is highly motivated by treats so will be easily trainable.
Not great on a lead yet so this needs work ... She will pull.
If she sees another dog she pulls and jumps with excitement and will even bark.
She is a keen gardener and will dig holes so may need her own little digging patch to play in.
However, if she has had a good walk in the morning this may not be a problem.
She loves her toys, cow hooves and treats.
She is so smart she knows how to open the puzzle toy to reveal the treats inside.
Macy would really like another dog friend to play with.
She would really benefit from obedience training to make her a totally well rounded dog.
A slow feeder dog bowl should be on the shopping list as she wolfs her food down.
Macy will need 6 foot fences as she can jump over 4 and 5 foot ones… she is not a runner – just likes to see what’s going on over there.
Macy is desexed, has been vaccinated to date and is microchipped as well as flea and worm treated.
Her adoption fee is $495 and he is in foster care at Darra.
If you are interested in meeting Macy, please send us a message – we do miss comments.
Please note – We do expect many enquiries for this baby and will only be forwarding the best matches to the carer for consideration for meets.
PLEASE, please take the time to give us as much information as you can in your message about you and the lifestyle you could offer to Macy.
Only those selected for meets will be contacted and meets will be limited so don’t be scared to sell yourself.
Thank you for understanding this. 🍀
