About Squishy
Following bilateral entropian surgery, Squishy’s eyes have healed beautifully and he’s raring to go!
Here’s what Squishy’s foster carer Rhia has to say about him;
“This beautiful boy is so loving and super friendly. I have found he is great with our older kids (6 and 8 but he is very scared/standoffish with of our baby (12m). He is not fussed by visitors at the home.
He loves his daily walks and walks well on his lead. We have bumped into other dogs and even cats whilst out walking and Squishy is unbothered by either.
Squishy is mostly inside and likes to have his people home with him. He does seem to get a little anxious if left at home for a long period of time. A home with secure and high fencing would best suit Squishy as if he feels he is being excluded or left behind he will try to find a way out!
Squishy is very excitable and does (very gently) jump up for pats. With some training, his manners should easily improve as he is such a people pleaser.
Squishy loves his kennel, hard chew toys, fetch, walks, hugs, pats and treats, and hugs... all the hugs. And we are yet to hear Squishy bark!!!
My opinion is Squishy would be best suited to a home with someone at home often, and kids above the age of 8. He does dig occasionally and sometimes will chew things laying around. He has also been known to steal washing off the clothes line to lay on 🤣 All these things I’m sure he will grow out of but he does require someone patient and understanding. He very much needs to be a part of the family and feel included.”
If Squishy sounds like he’d be a good fit for your family, please lodge your interest :)
