About Kisses
Introducing Kisses!
Kisses ended up at the shelter as her owners could no longer look after her but don't be too sad, because we now get to find Kisses a new family to love. Could that be you?
Little Kisses is only 7 months old and whilst she already knows basic cues such as "sit" she still has a lot of manners to learn. Ideally, we would like to see Kisses fall into the arms of owners who can continue her training and help her develop her skills. Obedience training is a great way to help Kisses settle in her new environment too, it can also help build a bond between Kisses and her new family.
Being so young and a working breed, Kisses has a lot of energy! She loves going for her daily walks around the shelter, a good run in the yard and even a good play with another dog every now and then. Kisses will need a family who can keep up with her high-energy levels and keep her mind busy. We would love to see Kisses out and about on regular walks around the block, weekend trips to the beach or local cafe and even on the yearly camping trip!
As Kisses is still learning, she has small moments of naughty behaviour every now and then. She sometimes likes to jump up when she's super excited and she's still learning that getting attention by nipping people is not appropriate. Because of this, we are recommending Kisses be re-homed with children over the age of 12 years.
During her time in care, Kisses has met a few different doggy friends and doesn't mind the company for her daily walks, so if you do have another dog at home already, please make sure you bring them to the shelter with you to say hello, this way our adoption team can be sure they are going to be a perfect match before you take Kisses home. If you do have another dog, be sure to separate them when they are being fed. Kisses prefers to eat alone and doesn't like it when other dogs get near her food.
Ideally, we would love to see Kisses in a home where she can become part of the family. She does really well in indoor settings, so open access to both indoor and outdoor areas would be perfect. A comfy bed inside and all the toys Kisses could ever want outside for play time. If you think you have the perfect spot for Kisses to call her own, please do not hesitate to bring all household members to the shelter to say hello. You might just leave with your new best friend!
