About Toi
TOI is a beautiful two year-old kelpie/collie cross with very good blood lines and papers to prove it.
Bred by a well-known working dog breeder in NSW, her pedigree name is "Connollys Toi" and her ancestry can be traced back to her great-great-great grandparents.
This much loved family pet was surrendered to us due to a change in family circumstances and through no fault of her own. She is now looking for a home and family of her own.
With big brown eyes and a glossy black coat, Toi is the best of both kelpie and BC. Loving and affectionate, she is a bundle of energy and needs plenty of physical and mental stimulation to be happy and content. She also needs a firm hand to keep her excitement levels in check.
She loves her Bubba (a furry squeaky toy) and is learning to return it in a game of fetch.
She is crate trained and will go to bed on command ("Bed!"), although sometimes you need to use your "grown up" voice.
Toi loves other dogs. As for cats, she is curious and has been exposed to them successfully under supervision.
She would suit an energetic couple or family with older children who can give her the activity and mental stimulation she needs.
But at the end of the day, she is just a lovely girl who will snuggle beside you on the lounge or snooze contentedly at your feet.
If you are interested in meeting Toi, the first step is to complete our online application form at https://southerndownsark.com.au/apply-to-adopt/ and an ARK volunteer will be in touch.
Toi will NOT cope if left alone in a backyard for extended periods, so preference will be given to homes where someone is around most of the time and/or there is another dog for Toi to play with. Secure, high fencing is essential as Toi has been known to climb fences.
Her adoption fee is $595 and she is desexed, vaccinated and microchipped.
Applicants must be willing to travel to Warwick, Queensland to meet Toi.
Medical notes
Toi sustained a fracture of her right front foot last year. Xrays reveal that the break has healed completely and she has vet clearance to be rehomed.
