On Hold
Pippa was surrendered to the RSPCA by her new owner after they were given a 'free' kitten by a friend. They had not sought approval from their landlord and subsequently were told they could not have a kitten. Pippa was also undesexed and not microchipped or vaccinated, which under Tasmanian Legislation needs to be done prior to giving away for selling a kitten.
Pippa has now been desexed, microchipped, wormed, treated for fleas and started her vaccination schedule. She is a very outgoing and loving kitten and gets on well with others.
All kittens need to be kept safe, as they can climb too high, or jump from too great a height until they get it worked out, so care must be taken to supervise kittens in new situations. They also need to be taught to play appropriately - that means not laying claws and teeth on human hands or feet - so interactive toys such as ''wand'' style are best.
