About Staryu
PURRSONALITY TRAITS
Hi my name is Staryu and I love being with hoomans so much that, although my foster family loves me a lot, I really really want to go to my furever family now.
I'm 4 and a half years old and was brought in to Cat Haven as a stray. But I'm pretty sure I lived in a house with people before I was rescued from the streets as I love being around people and am a very good house cat. I am a very sweet and gentle lady, am very well mannered and use my litter tray properly.
I may be a bit shy when I first come to your home and might try to find a safe hiding place, but I am not aggressive at all so feel free to scritch my chin and say hi. Once you start to stroke me I will love the attention and it won't take long before we are great snuggle buddies. I do really enjoy sitting next to my hooman and getting a good head and all over body scritch and will purr loudly to you while you're with me. I'm not fussed about being picked up but I'm getting better at it and am also learning how to be a lap cat. It's actually quite nice sitting on a warm lap. If you get up and go I will follow you all around the house and just want to be with you.
I am very quiet and not very active but will enjoy a play with you or some toys. Oh and I like to talk to you with my tiny little meow when I need more scritches. I'm OK living with other cats if they give me my own space and don't get too pushy.
Don't be put off by the comment in my medical history about the little lump on my neck. It really is tiny and you will only notice it when you feel for it.
You can visit me and see how lovely I am in my foster home in Warnbro.
Health Issues
Staryu has mild dental tartar and associated gum changes. This is very common in mature cats.
A small mass has been located under Staryu's right jaw. Our veterinarians have determined that this is most-likely a benign follicular cyst. Currently the cyst is very small and does not pose any health risk however it is possible that it may grow over time and necessitate surgical removal. We recommend that you have the cyst checked by your veterinarian at Staryu's annual health check.
Adoption details
Just browse some of the photos of our beautiful cats available for adoption or come to our shelter in Shenton Park to meet our many beautiful kitties.
Please be aware that the cats featured on this page represent only a very small portion of the total number of beautiful felines we have available for adoption. We do not include any of our kittens on this page, as the turnover for youngsters is simply too high to keep up-dating, but we always have many beautiful kittens looking for homes!
Also many of our cats and kittens are currently staying in temporary foster homes out in the community but are still looking for a loving home, so please call Cat Haven in advance if you want to make arrangements for a meeting with a foster cat.
