About Duke
Please let us take this moment to introduce you to Duke, a gorgeous boy who is desperate to share his big heart and puppy dog eyes with his forever home.
Duke is a 10 month old Mastiff x who is just waiting for his chance to find his forever family.
Since Duke has come into care he has been socialized with a large range of dogs (from 1.4 kgs to 64 kgs!) Duke is a love bug who is gentle with every one and everything. Duke loves to play with any size dog that will play with him and loves to then just chill with them for snoozes.
Duke is very submissive but loves to play!
Duke is great around children as well, but as he is a big breed dog and when playing he can from time to time accidentally knock a smaller child, he will always apologise with kisses and puppy dog looks.
Duke loves to cuddle with his humans and he will use his whole body to show you how much he loves you – Duke is wanting that person / family who will just let him love them and they love him – that would make for one very happy dog.
Duke has shown no interest in chickens and no negative reaction to cats – a quick swipe would probably let him know pretty quickly that a cat is not to be annoyed or tried to be made into a BFF!
Duke did come into care after a not great start to life so training is on going and he is a very quick learner who just loves to please his humans.
Duke is currently enjoying hanging out with his foster family and at the moment he is happily sleeping outside with his fur sibling but would prefer to sleep inside near his people if he was an only dog.
Duke would very much like to be an active member of his new families lives - hanging out inside with his family, or being outside for family time - basically just being with his family
Duke has a lot of love to give, and any family would be lucky to have him part of their lives.

Adoption details
Paw Prints Canine Rescue is a non for profit dog rescue located in Southeast Queensland.
All our dogs leave our care with full vet work (up-to-date vaccinated, microchipped, desexed, heart worm and intestinal wormed and flea treated).
Please note - They will not leave for their new homes until they are 12 weeks of age and have been desexed, micro-chipped and vaccinated up to date.
Please note - we are not a pound or have kennels - all our dogs stay in foster carers homes and therefore dogs are not able to be simply viewed - only approved applicants will meet the dogs.

Complete the following adoption enquiry link

Once an adoption enquiry is completed our admin team will assess the application and if successful we will arrange for a meet and greet to be completed. We may also request photos of your yard for consideration of your application. Please note that we will do no more than 3 meet and greets per dog.
If applying to adopt one of our furbabies over the age of 6 months we recommend that you bring to the meet and greet any of your furbabies to see how they interact.
Our adoption fee must be cleared in our bank account before any animal is available for pick up. Please note we bank with ANZ - any other bank may take 48 hours to process the monies.
Paw Prints Canine Rescue has a 2 week trial period – this basically means that if for any reason the adoption does not work out and the dog needs to be returned to us, the adoption fee minus an admin fee (minimum is $100) will be returned to the adoptees via bank transfer within 7 working days.
Please note that if an interstate adoption needs to be returned or regional adoption all transport cost with be paid by the adopter.
Please also note while this can be a very exciting time for everyone, it can also be an overwhelming time for dogs and we ask that you do try and allow your new family member to settle in their new home and adjust
INTERSTATE ADOPTIONS **
Any transport costs are to be paid by the adopting family, however we can assist you in helping with transport to airports etc.
** Please note some of our dogs are not available for interstate adoption
