About suzie
SPECIAL NEEDS
Suzie is a two year old kelpie who was a rescue pup from the lost dogs home. She's lived a pretty tough life but you wouldn't know it! She's an amazing companion who enjoys walks, frequents pats, belly rubs and snuggles on the couch. She's great with people and is very obedient having learned how to touch, sit, lie down, roll over and her recall is great. She loves to play and will happily chase you around the house or yard. She loves to play fetch when she gets excited, although struggles not to take the ball back to her bed and enjoy a nice chew!
She has stage two kidney disease but doesn't show many symptoms. Her initial incontinence issues has been totally solved with syrup from the vet that goes on her food daily and she's been much happier in the time since. It's great as she loves nothing more than finding her own spot on a couch when the sun comes out. Suzie is on a strict K/D diet and is very food motivated. She takes her kibble as treats and loves nothing more than her scoops of wet food twice a day. Have also given her boiled chicken as a treat, which she absolutely loves.
Probably the biggest issue is her anxiety issues which manifests itself around other dogs. She likes to bark at them and it's best to simply avoid them if they come close on a walk.
She's very obedient and will cross the street or pick up the pace a little to avoid any confrontation. She's only had issues when they get very close to her, but otherwise is okay.
Suzie has had three foster homes in her short life so is looking for a forever home where she'll get plenty of love and attention. She's comfortable as an inside dog, although would love a yard to play. As long as she gets a couple of long walks a day she is content to sleep through a lot of it while you work.
I could write about this dog all day. She has a wonderful quirky personality and is just the best companion.
