Beautiful Lindy came into foster care as a very timid, shy, scared, malnourished, fully untrained puppy. She is now learning many new skills. Since being in care her foster carers have been concentrating on building up her confidence and trust in humans. It has been a fantastic journey to see Lindy grow in weight and especially her love and trust in humans. Lindy is now fully toilet trained during the day, however, can still have some accidents at night if left in for too long.
She absolutely loves being inside with her foster family, and also loves to be outside playing with her big foster brother whom she has really attached to. Lindy really needs another doggie playmate to help her settle into a new home.
Lindy will chew on anything left within her reach so she needs lots of interactive toys, exercise, and attention. Lindy has now learned to sit outside of the kitchen area while her carers are busy in there and how to sit on demand. She will even sit at the front door while her carer goes out to the bin or lets visitors in.
Lindy has a huge appetite and will eat any food in sight so you will have to monitor this as Lindy is now at a good weight and the Vet is very pleased with her improvements.
Whoever meets Lindy loves her on sight and she is now accepting people who come into her foster home, so is becoming very friendly dog and would make a glorious, happy family pet. Lindy is very gentle, beautiful in looks with an amazing nature.
As we have high fences I have never seen Lindy try to jump so can not say if she is likely to, however, can gladly say that she hardly ever barks.
When Lindy arrived she was petrified of a lead so training her to walk on a lead is still in progress. The darling girl learns quickly once she has your trust, and is now even picking up recall, coming when called and putting things down when asked to. Once Lindy trusts you she is very licky on you, which is a sign of true trust and appreciation from her.
Lindy would be suitable in a home with older children as she is a very gentle dog and hardly ever jumps up on humans.
She has met her carers' cat through a baby gate and had no real reaction. She does not barge at the gate or bark or growl so would probably be fine with a proper introduction.
If Lindy is left alone a lot outside she will get so bored she may try to escape to find company, so a home with 5-6ft fencing would be required as well as a doggy friend.
