About Lokor
This sweet boy will have you in awe because he just has that face. Lokor is super sweet boy who loves everyone and everything!
Lokor has the typical dally traits; too much love, too much excitement, too friendly and too much energy. The one positive thing is this does calm down and he doesn’t have the stamina to remain up at high energy for long periods of time. As much as this boy is all positive vibes, it can be a lot initially which is why he will need an experienced and consistent home environment to help balance his energy.
Lokor is super affectionate, loves cuddles and lazing around with his humans. He also loves the fun children. Lokor is house trained, toilet trained and will go to “toilet” on command! He also knows the basics of sit and paw.
As much as he loves dogs and children, his love will not always be welcome. People and dogs do get overwhelmed by his happiness. If there are children in the home, they need to be dog savvy and happy for the jumps and bumps they will receive. This is an area which his family will have to focus on and work to ensure good manners. Lokor is on the smaller side of large (around 25-30kg).
The same with doggies, he loves them just too much. We don’t believe he is a perfect 'dog park' candidate due to his over friendly nature and he doesn’t realise when the other dog is not interested. In saying this, he will require friends. Controlled play dates are a must and he will also need further training to teach him to be calm when meeting new friends. Group dog training sessions could be the way to start this process, make friends and grow a bond between him and you.
Lokor loves the car and travels well. He loves his walks, so much so, he is a little strong on the lead but after the excitement wears off he settles down and walks well. If there is a dog walking past he will get a little over excited and will pull at the lead as he wants to make friends with everyone. Lokor sleeps well on the bed with his carer or on the floor on his own bed. He is about to be desexed as he and can show his love in unpleasant ways with people and dogs. With reminders and after being desexed this should ease.
Lokor is an amazing dog that’s just a little intense on the friendly scale. We are looking for an experienced home (dally experience would be amazing), that have consistency and patience. He is able to be home alone, and older dog savvy kids (if any) would be a better fit. Lokor can be rehomed with another suitable dog; however, it would have to be a dog who is able to tolerate his enthusiasm and current inappropriate humping.
Lokor will keep you smiling every day and you will learn to enjoy life as much as he does! If you’re looking for a goofball to add to your family, Lokor is your boy. You can apply by completing a Dog Adoption Enquiry Form on the Fetching Dogs website.

Don't see a breed attached to one of our dogs? That's because we don't breed label dogs of unknown genetic history. We can't guess at breeds but that's okay, because we can tell you about the dog's individual personality, character, and behaviour.
