About Ubax
That one photo of Ubax poking his little tongue out sums up a lot about him! He is a cheeky and energetic pup full of life. He is ready to take on all of life’s adventures with his new family. Ubax will be a loving and loyal pup to his new owners. He likes to have a cuddle and get attention from people but he’s definitely not going to be a lap dog. Ubax loves to play and enjoys a good game of tug of war. His character and love of life is infectious which will make him a wonderful addition to someone’s life.
Ubax has been in care with one of his siblings and thoroughly enjoys play time with her. Just like any young pup, he will require further socialisation with other dogs to ensure that he grows up a happy and social individual. It is expected that Ubax will grow to be a larger medium sized dog (around 18-25kg at a guess) and will be higher energy. He will require substantial daily exercise to fulfill his needs.
Being a working breed mix he is going to thrive in the hands of experienced owners who can give him clear guidance. He has begun some basic training in foster care such as sit, paw and drop, but there is a lot more to do. His new family need to be committed to continuing his training long term. Puppy school is a good start but Ubax will require further obedience classes and would benefit from engaging in dog sport (herding classes, agility, flyball, rally-o, nose works, etc.) of some description to provide him with a job to do. This training and/or sport will provide some of the mental stimulation that a working breed mix requires. On the flip side, he would greatly benefit from crate training and learning to switch off/chill as he can show signs of frustration if he doesn’t get what he wants.
We are looking for an experienced and active home for Ubax where he will be included as part of the family and taken on daily outings. He will require a home with another playful dog – another working breed mix would be preferable, and/or someone who is home most of the time to provide him with stimulation and attention. Ubax should be allowed inside with the family and will need a warm comfy bed inside to sleep on at night. He is young enough to learn to live with other types of pets harmoniously with the appropriate guidance and training. Ubax can be boisterous so is best suited to older more dog savvy children – over 12 is preferred.
If you think that you can offer Ubax the type of home he needs then you are welcome to apply by completing a Dog Adoption Enquiry Form on the Fetching Dogs website as the next step.

Don't see a breed attached to one of our dogs? That's because we don't breed label dogs of unknown genetic history. We can't guess at breeds but that's okay, because we can tell you about the dog's individual personality, character, and behaviour.
