About Rita & Gregory ~ 7 w/o duo (On trial 16/1/21)
Meet Rita and Gregory! Rita and Gregory are 8 week old siblings who were found abandoned in a garage with their other siblings at only one week old. These 2 came into care tiny and malnourished and were syringe-fed by their carer because they were too weak to even drink from a bottle. Since then, this duo have grown strong and confident and have really come out of their shells. They are very confident and will run over to you for pats and to play when you walk up to them. They are very playful and full of energy so they prefer a toy over a cuddle, but when they settle down they are little purr-machines. This litter of kittens were named after Nobel-prize winning scientists because their carer thought it was such an accomplishment that they made it into care safely and have thrived since then.
Gregory is almost completely black with a tiny white snip on his nose and white socks. He absolutely loves people, tummy pats, and playing with his siblings. Rita is mostly white with some patches of tabby markings on her back and head. Rita is full of beans and is a classic kitten who loves to play and run around until she falls fast asleep. She also loves people and will meow at you until you give her pats under her chin and behind her ears. These 2 love to play and run around together until they fall asleep on too of each other.
Rita and Gregory need to be adopted together, as it is recommended by cat behaviourists that kittens have a playmate and forever friend for an enriched life. All of our past adopters can attest to the fact that two kittens/cats is better than one! These kittens have been through a lot so far in their short life and their foster carer thinks they would be much happier going to a home with one another.
Rita and Gregory have been exposed to several small dogs and have never had any issues. They also absolutely love their carer’s adult cats and are always trying to make them play and wrestle. Rita and Gregory would be suited to a home with other cats, and any dogs in the house are calm and cat friendly. They are fairly confident kittens so would be okay with children over 5 years. They are litter trained and have very healthy appetites.
Rita and Gregory are available for adoption to an indoor-only home in the Newcastle/Hunter/Central Coast Area only and their adoption fee is $480 for both. If you would like further information, please contact catsandkittensdrn@gmail.com
PLEASE NOTE: Rita and Gregory are available to a home in the Newcastle/Hunter/Central Coast area only, as they will have to be de-sexed at one of our local vets by the time they are 4 months old.
Rita and Gregory are in foster care in Shortland, NSW and will be vaccinated and microchipped in the coming weeks but will need de-sexing at a local Newcastle vet when they are big enough, which will be covered by Dog Rescue Newcastle.
