About Mack ~ 3 yr GSP x Amstaff ~ On Hold 6/3/21
This adorable big goofball is Mack a 3 year old German Shorthaired Pointer x American Staffy . Mack is a big lovable dufus who is quirky and full of character - he thinks he’s a puppy and he is also pretty darn handsome too.
Mack (also nicknamed Chop) came to us from a pound where he wasn’t coping at all. Considering his energy levels and need for space (and zoomies!) being in a confined and noisy pound environment was pretty scary for this big boy.
Mack can be a little shy when it comes to some things - like he’s a little scared of wheelie bins, walking past the boat in his carers yard, or with noisy traffic driving past when out walking. So his new family should be gentle when introducing him to new things.
Mack loves people and thrives best when the spotlight is squarely on him. If you want a yard only dog who will sit in the yard all day doing nothing then he isn’t the dog for you ! Mack wants to be with you - whether that means tagging along like your shadow whilst you garden or work in the garage, going out for walks or laying on his bed near you whilst watching TV at night . He has no idea of his size so he loves to walk under your legs or perch on your lap like a little fluffy dog. As long as he’s touching you he’s a happy boy.
Mack is jumpy, “mouths” like a puppy, and doesn’t know how to put on the brakes when he’s dashing around the yard - for these reasons we are looking for a home with no kids under 15 years. All family members should be confident with mega-large dogs and experience with large and active breeds is required for this lovely big bouncy boy. He’ll need good height fencing and a yard large enough for zoomies.
For more information on our big dufus Mack please contact Jo on rescuepooch75@gmail.com . Mack is in foster care near Medowie , north of Newcastle. He is not available for interstate adoption.
Mack’s adoption fee is $400 which includes his desexing, vaccinations, flea and worm treatments and microchipping. You can see all our available dogs at www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au
Medical notes
Mack had his tail removed surgically due to damage sustained prior to being left in the pound.
