About Hattie ~ 1y y/o cat (on trial 26/1/21)
Hattie is best described as a ‘pocket rocket’. She is 12 months old but still a young kitten at heart!
She seems to be more like a dog than a cat and loves being around her human. She likes to shower her foster mum with head bumps, running around and under her legs & doing zoomies around the house which gives her foster mum plenty of laughs.
She loves to chat as well especially on the topics of ‘can I have another treat’ or ‘my food bowl is empty’. She gets along with her foster cat brother (after few weeks of getting to know each other) and will be fine with other cats with a proper introduction. Hattie has not been tested with dogs but should be fine with a calm cat-friendly dog. Hattie should also be fine with calm and respectful children aged 8 and over, as she can be very playful and active.
Hattie didn’t have a great start in life being a stray & had kittens when she was just barely out of kittenhood herself. She was thin & had patchy loss of hair. Since coming into care, she has gained weight (thanks to her eating like a horse) & her hair growing well. She is such a clever cat, she had no trouble adjusting to being indoors and now loves living in luxury as a companion cat.
She uses her litter tray well. She’s happy to sleep and watch birds through the window when her foster mum is at work so she will suit a home where people work throughout the day. She equally loves attention and would make a great colleague if you work from home.
Hattie is currently in foster care in Fletcher, Newcastle NSW. She is available for adoption to an indoor-only home and her adoption fee is $225, which includes all vet work. She is microchipped, desexed and is up to date with her vaccinations, flea and worm treatment.
