About Felix
This is Felix, he is 1 and a half year old Medium Hair Tom Cat from the streets of Bundaberg. He was rescued in August of 2020 and came into to care extremely emancipated with a mouth full of infection and fractured teeth.
Before rescue Felix had little to no human and animal interaction. Hence why it has been a long road to recovery before we could even think about his next step to adoption.
6 long months later with surgery, special diet, medication and socialisation we had a cat like no other, one that was unrecognisable from the day we picked him up.
Due to Felix’s past and the special attention to him medically we are looking for a super special home for him! Preferably with the following attributes..
No young children, a quiet household where someone is home quite often and is looking for a chilled, happy go lucky cat, Felix loves to sleep on the bed at night and loves to cuddle into you and the blankets, he also loves to sleep and chill out all day - he would happily sit on your lap all day long, he enjoys the simpler things in life.
Just like any animal you bring into your home you must be financially prepared to take on any issues that may arise. Although Felix is in perfect health now, due to his past it is important to ensure he is getting yearly health checks and vaccinations. Also Felix has no teeth! And so with this in mind he is on a special diet.
Not tested with dogs, however I imagine a small, quiet submissive dog that wouldn’t be in his face would be okay with a slow introduction . He can tolerate other cats, however, again will need to be submissive and let him have his own space and attention from his owners. He prefers human company over animal company! He doesn’t love to be picked up and held, unless it means he’s going into your lap or a comfy bed.
He is independent during the day and will pretty much just sleep and stretch out all day long. He is a very tidy cat who always uses his litter tray and eats all his food! You also might hear his cute little meow when it’s feeding time. It may sound like a lot but we are searching for only the best and happiest home for Felix, after everything he’s been through we want this the be his last stop to his forever home.
