Medical notes
Reiki has a slightly deformed sternum that causes no pain or trouble for her. Our vet has assessed it as not needing any treatment now as it isn’t causing any trouble and this spunky girl didn’t know it was even there! During her checkup the vet also detected that she also has a luxating patella which is very common in young small breed dogs. Ray runs, jumps and zooms around just fine , so this also does not require any intervention at this time. It is possible however, that in the future it could possibly “pop” in and out of place which could cause her some pain. In this case your own vet may advise on surgery . Her new family must have the financial means to cover a future surgery if required down the track. There is a high chance of success from these type of surgeries - feel free to consult your own vet prior to applying if required
Adoption details
(1) The first step is to fill in our online Adoption Questionnaire:
https://tinyurl.com/drnadopt
(2) If the questionnaire is approved we will arrange a property check so we
can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've applied for.
(3) After that we will arrange for you to meet the pet, usually at the foster
carer's home, nearby park or your home.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family
member! The two week trial begins on the day of adoption.
