About Penny ~ 11wk Old Kelpie X(On Trial 12/12/20))
Penny is a sweet and playful 11 week old Kelpie x Cattle dog puppy. Penny is a typical working breed puppy with plenty of energy. She loves playing with toys and chasing her sister around the yard. Penny is very people focused and always eager to please
Penny is high energy and requires a family with experience with working breed dogs. She shows traits from both her kelpie and cattle dog genetics, being active and very smart. Within just a few days Penny learned a number of basic commands including sit, lay down, shake and stay. Penny needs a home committed to training and socialising her to become a well adjusted adult dog. Penny requires an active family with the time to exercise her daily, as well as provide sufficient mental stimulation.
Penny has begun toilet training and she is doing well although this will require further work and consistency. We always recommend puppy-training classes to give your new family member the best start in life. All dogs and puppies need plenty of affection, exercise, and training. Penny would love if someone in the household was home most of the time.
Penny needs to be welcome inside when people are home, and to sleep inside. You will need good fencing with no small gaps that a puppy could escape through.
As Penny is not yet desexed, she is only available for adoption to Newcastle, Lake Macquarie, Central Coast and Port Stephens as she will need to be returned to our vet for desexing when she's approximately 5 months old. Unfortunately this means that we will not allow interstate adoption.
Penny’s sister Pepsi is also available for adoption.
To register your interest in adopting Penny, you can fill out the adoption questionnaire here https://tinyurl.com/drnadopt or for more information please contact Darcy on darcy.drn@outlook.com
Penny’s adoption fee is $600 and includes her desexing, vaccinations and microchipping and she's been treated for fleas and worms. Penny is in care in Maitland, NSW.
