About Merrick
G'day folks, the name is Merrick.
I found my way to BARC as an injured stray and it's here I have had some veterinary attention, R&R and now i'm ready to search out my new home.
I am an lovely stoic lad, who is very calm and relaxed. I am just so laid back about everything, it's actually pretty impressive.
I had a couple of wounds to my shoulder when I arrived at BARC but now I am fully healed and rearing to go.
I love to sleep, nap, lounge about and just relax. I would make a great companion for a calm and quiet household who love nothing more to stop and smell the roses and then have a nice relaxing lay down afterwards.
Ideally I would love to go to a home with adults, or teenage children who are calm would be fine too, I just like everyone and everything to be as calm as I am.
I am a social boy and enjoy the company of other cats being around.
If you think I sound like the puuurfect gentleman for you then give BARC a call on (03) 5441 2209 to book your essential meet and greet appointment with me.

Adoption details
BARC adoption officers will work with you to help you find a dog or cat that matches your needs, they will discuss things like yard fencing, exercise requirements, other pets and family members, lifestyle factors, and breed experience. To help make this as quick and easy as possible, we ask you complete and adoption questionnaire (located on our website, or you can complete on when you visit). This helps ensure that we are introducing you to the most suitable animals we have available.
We encourage all members of the household to attend a meet and greet with a pet prior to adopting an animal. If the animal being adopted is a dog, we will also require existing dogs in the household to attend the shelter as part of the meet and greet.
Holds can not be placed on animals over the phone, and can only be applied at the discretion of management.
