About Yeti STA005555
Yeti came to us as a stray, and it was very apparent that he had a tough life on the street. With his white coat matted and yellow and black from a life of hard knocks, blisters on his paws, his tail stripped of hair from old injuries and cancer on his ears and nose, this poor boy had certainly seen better days.
He had lost all trust in humans, and didn’t really want any part of people. We placed him into foster, and his transition began for this mysterious mythical man. His wounds started to heal, he got a decent haircut, and had surgery on his ears and nose. And in time yeti started to heal.
He started to trust, little bit by little bit. And he discovered we weren’t so bad. Yeti has shown he definitely wants to be with you, and will stick close to your feet! Cuddles were something you didn’t dare do; now up under the chin and as close as he can get for hours!
Yeti has lived comfortably in his foster home with other cats and dogs, and is a gentle giant. Although a friendly bite may occur if playing is on the menu!
Yeti is FIV+ so will need an indoor only home, one without young children nor seniors as he loves to be under your feet and may trip you up.

Adoption details
Simply note the ID number and the cats name and visit our hostel at 200 Elder Street in Greensborough. Alternatively you can call the hostel on 8457 6500. We are currently open between 10am-4pm Mon-Fri and 10am and 3pm Sat-Sun.
You should bring proof of your current address and preferably photo identification such as your driving license. You can only adopt a cat for yourself we do not allow animals to leave with third parties. If you are wishing to adopt a cat as a present for someone, bring them with you as cats are individuals and bond with different people in different ways, the cat you may choose, may not choose your friend! It is also important to allocate time for adoption and we recommend you allow at least a couple of hours to get to know the cat and do the necessary paperwork.
When you visit you will get to meet the cat and as this is a very important decision for both you and the cat you choose we will want to ensure the two of you are compatible and that you understand what will be involved in taking the cat into your home.
We will want to be satisfied that you are prepared to be a responsible pet owner. Responsible pet owners at the most basic level, have their pets registered, micro-chipped and de-sexed unless they are registered breeders. They also understand the issues involved in being able to properly care and take responsibility for the welfare of their pets. Most Councils in Victoria have limits on the numbers of cats you may own without a permit. It is important to check with your Council if you already own the limit and obtain a permit for the extra cat before adoption. We will require to see your permit.
We will answer any questions you have regarding cat care and help you to obtain any support you may need
