About Lilah
Lilah is approx 8month old staffy x kelpie.
She is looking for a calm home with older (10y+) or no children, and no other pets. She needs a home where someone will be home a lot.
She requires a confident leader who has experience in training. She needs leadership, love, patience, guidance and quality time.
At the moment she requires at least 2 x 45 min walks a day plus training and play time.
A decent sized yard is a must.
She would love a running partner or would make a really good contender for flyball if trained well.
Lilah has separation anxiety and is quite a nervous dog.
When comfortable she is energetic and playful but can be overzealous if in a high energy/stimulating environment. ie loud, running children will make her go into hyper drive where she will want to chase.
Lilah has a high chase drive for anything that moves with speed, especially birds.
On initial introduction Lilah is quite scared of people but if approached calmly and slowly she doesn’t take long to warm up.
She prefers not to have pats off strangers in public.
Once Lilah is comfortable she is a very sweet, eager to please young girl.
Lilah loves toys. Balls are her favorite thing. Soccer balls, tennis balls. She has tunnel vision when it comes to toys.
She is learning to drop toys, leave toys and not to jump for toys when picked up by people to throw.
Lilah is very fast and quite strong for her size (20kg). For the most part she walks well on lead unless in a stimulating environment, then she pulls as she wants to run and chase.
Lilah is toilet trained and travels well in the car. She currently sleeps in a crate on her foster Mum’s bedroom.
