About Mimi
Mimi
Female
1 Year Old
INDOORS ONLY
Meet lovely Mimi who is approximately 1 year old. She is a very pretty girl with beautiful markings! Mimi is desexed, microchipped, fully vaccinated and is parasite treated.
This affectionate girl arrived into our care at Rescue Me Whiskers & Paws a few months ago with her 7 teeny tiny newborns. Mimi was brought into our local vet clinic after giving birth to 7 kittens and sadly suffering a nearly fatal uterine prolapse. She was surrendered to us by her owners and underwent emergency surgery to save her life. Meanwhile her kittens Luna, Rocket, Mars, Smudge, Jupiter, Galaxy and Blaze were initially bottle-fed during her surgery and afterwards while she recovered. In the end the kittens were bottle fed till 8 weeks old, as well as Mimi feeding them.
Mimi and her babies have had a tumultuous time. Mimi suffered severe infections after her uterine prolapse, as well as a chronic tummy bug. She was on various antibiotics including twice daily trips to the vets for injections for weeks. Then heartbreakingly her kittens were struck down by a severe respiratory infection and despite our best efforts, one by one we lost Jupiter, Galaxy and Blaze. The babies that survived Luna, Rocket, Mars and especially Smudge are very lucky to have survived.
Mimi is an absolutely adorable, sweet, loving, friendly and happy girl. Mimi has been around other cats, dogs and children. However she can be dominant with other cats and dogs. We aren't sure if that is because she is incredibly protective of her babies or that is her personality in general. She adores her humans and will call for attention. Mimi loves trotting around after you while you go about your daily activities. She enjoys snoozing in her warm cosy bed or yours! She loves to cuddle up and fall asleep on your lap. She just wants a family of her own to love and after everything she has been through, she has more than earned it!!!
