About Oscar
ππ OSCAR ππ
Introducing the cute and cuddly Mr Lovable, Oscar π₯° who is ready to find his furever!
Oscar is a big, affectionate boy who adores company π He has so much love to give, whether he be following his foster mum around the house playing βsupervisorβ or relaxing on her lap while she unwinds after work (yes, all 32 kg of him!) π
While he enjoys having his humans at home with him, he does just as well during the day waiting for his family to come home π He rarely barks, except when someone new enters the yard. He will need some strong toys to play with as he can get a bit rough with his fluffy teddies β he likes to know exactly whatβs inside each one! π€£
Oscar is very food driven π which has made it easy to teach him some basic manners using treats; however, he will need someone committed to his ongoing training to bring the best out of this intelligent boy.
He is currently living with a similar sized female dog and an indoor cat. It only took him a week to learn to leave the cat alone and he is now happy to let kitty wander past without any drama, although the savvy cat still gives him a wide berth π
Oscar LOVES his doggy companion πΎ and would benefit from the company of another active dog. Being quite young, he has a lot of energy and enjoys chasing his friend around the yard, having rough play time, and sharing his tug toys. Of course, after these bursts of energy, he is happy to settle down on his bed and sleep it off for hours at a time π΄ Oscar would love the space to continue his outdoor activities, so a good-sized yard would be best.
When Oscar first came into care, he was a bit of a jumper, but in a few short weeks he has learnt that jumping up is bad manners. Although he knows the rules, now, he sometimes gets a little over-excited and will forget, so itβs best he finds a home with older children.
Oscar is comfortable sleeping in his crate at night. He enjoys feeling safe in his own space so he can truly relax while his feline friend wanders the house at night π He is house trained and will let his foster mum know when he needs to go outside for a toilet break.
This handsome boy will make the perfect addition to the family π
If you would like to meet Oscar, please message for an application π
Adoption details
ADOPTION PROCESS:
1. An Adoption application MUST be filled out prior to the meet and greet with the animal.
2. 'Meet & Greet' with the animal and their carer will then take place. You must bring your current dog along to the meet and greet if you are meeting another dog/puppy, this is to ensure they get along before commencing adoption. If meeting a cat we do not recommend brining your current dog/cat as this may stress the cat/kitten out.
3. The animal MUST NOT be taken on the day unless PRIOR APPROVAL seeked, we will NOT ACCEPT the animal to be taken on the day if less then 2 days notice is given. If prior arrangement is made, an adoption agreement/s and payment must be made before collection of the animal.
4. 14 day settling in period commences once the animal has been collected from foster carer.
5. Adoption is finalised after 14 days and paperwork is sent via email.
6. All animals for adoption are kept up to date with vet work until date of adoption. Inclusive of vaccinations, monthly worming and flea treatment. New owners are responsible for keeping preventatives current.
As we are run entirely of volunteers we endeavour to respond to your email within 72 hours. Your patience is greatly appreciated.
