On Hold
Sheila is an active, social, older lady who will need to be allowed indoors to be part of the family as she is very social and loves to be around people. Sheila can be anxious in new environments and she has shown signs of stress leading up to and during storms so allowing her indoors is recommended, offering gentle massage and distracting her with favourite toys or treats. She may also benefit from having soft calming dog music played and an adaptil diffuser in use. Sheila is worried by close handling and restraint so avoid leaning over or cornering her and allow her to move away if she feels the need. She likes food and will enjoy being fed from enrichment - milk bottles, kong's, egg cartoons, wobblers, go slow bowls etc. This will slow her eating down and provide mental stimulation. Sheila is worried and tense around other dogs so needs to be your one and only. She is not keen on cats!
