About Peanut
Peanut is a happy friendly boy. Peanut loves people and is looking for a home where someone is around most of the time. We believe he has lived in a domestic violence home as he gets highly aroused when people wrestle or move in unpredictable ways. He walks nicely on loose lead. He ignores cars, barks and lunges at passing dogs. He enjoys pats and cuddles and walks at a good pace. He knows sit.
Walkers say: Scared of other dogs at start of walk but seemed to get better as walk went on. “Beautiful boy. No aggression. Seems to want to say hello to other dogs”
He has a smooth coat and weighs 17.8kg. Peanut is best suited to a calm adult home with rescue experience with fear behaviours and preferably no other pets.
Suit Home Based Worker or Doggie Pal: Unable to cope alone and has shown signs of separation anxiety. Needs human company or other dog pals.
Garden: Needs a home that has more space as well as a garden for exercise and regular walks outside.
Adult Home: Nervous or not tolerant of children. And/or too high a level of excitability for children to control.
NEEDS RESCUE EXPERIENCE: Many people grow up with, or own a dog who has had no bad experiences in life. A dog who is confident and well rounded. However, many rescue dogs have not been as lucky in their lives.
These dogs need someone with previous rescue experience and an in depth understanding of and experience in building relationships with these kinds of dogs.
Medical notes
He comes desexed, C5 vaccinated, heartworm free and microchipped. Also included for the love and health of our dogs is a free Health and Wellness Voucher with our DR Vet.
Adoption details
DoggieRescue is a charitable organisation and as such we rely very much on volunteers to manage our adoptions. We answer initial adoption enquiries by email or phone and then arrange an appointment for you to meet some of our rescue dogs.
At DoggieRescue we believe our dogs deserve to find that special someone who will love them and look after them forever. We know that there are homes out there that are willing to accommodate one more little member of the family and dedicate time to their well being.
