About Connie
Connie is a sweet girl who may take a little time to warm up to strangers, but once she is comfortable around you is a laid back, happy girl and enjoys getting pats. She loves her walks and will definitely suit a new owner who can provide her the mental and physical stimulation she needs, as she will let you know quite insistently (and loudly) if her walk is overdue! She is a very smart dog with good basic obedience and she listens to commands well. Although she has a great nature with kids she does bounce around when she is excited, whether when it's walk time or when you come home, so she would be best in a home without very small children. She is not suited to cats.
Connie gets along with other dogs and enjoys playing, although she can get over excited when out walking and forget her manners when meeting dogs on lead. We have taken her to our partner trainer for some techniques on improving her reactions when meeting new dogs, and Connie is learning quickly to just have a little patience and be more calm. She is very food focused which helps with training! Her recall needs work so is best kept on lead in public places for now.
Connie isn't an overly needy dog, but she likes to hang in the same room as her human and will follow you around to be in the same space as you. Is okay being home alone for a few hours at a time but would also love a home with her people around for company. She is house trained and used to sleeping indoors at night.
Connie is a great dog and is looking for an experienced, active dog owner who can put in a bit of training with her. In return you will gain a loyal, intelligent friend.
