About Lou
Sup Y'all! It's ya man Lou! You may be thinking 'gee, that extremely handsome and good boy looks super familiar' and you would be correct. I've recently come back into care and I am searching for a new family.
I originally arrived into care just over a year ago when I was just a wee lad. Unfortunately I became very very sick with the dreaded parvo and BVAR had to fight super hard to save me. Thankfully, being the big and strong boy I was, I overcame parvo and went on to find the most amazing family who loved me dearly. Recently, their personal circumstances drastically changed and they could no longer keep me. The girls at BVAR welcomed me back with welcome arms and well, here I am.
You may recall, or you may even have guessed, but I am deaf. I'm pretty clever though, and have learned lots of sign language. Being deaf just makes me extra special and means I need an extra special family too.
I get along fantastically with other dogs of all sizes. Given my large size and goofy nature though, it's probably best I am homed with dogs of similar size (and personality!) It's also best that I am rehomed with no or older kids aswell. I absolutely love kids, I just don't understand how big I am.
I've lived with cats. They excite me, but eventually the fun wears off and I leave them alone.
I absolutely must have another dog at home and be able to sleep inside at night. Not being able to hear can make me a little anxious at times.
I would prefer humans that are home more often than not, and especially need humans that have the time and patience to continue to train me.
If you think you're my perfect family, hit us up! Love Lou
