About Bonnie and Buttons
Bonnie is a 9 year old shih tzu and Buttons is an 11 year old Maltese x (male). Their elderly owner who loved them dearly is unable to care for them anymore.
They are looking for a new home together that is lowset, has a doggie door and where they will be walked a couple of times a day.
Since being in the care of a petsitter, their health has improved immensely, lost lots of weight and are going on lots of walks which they absolutely love.
They are a bonded pair and love to play together. Sometimes Bonnie will pull the toy box into the centre of the living room and pull all the toys out.
Buttons is a cheeky boy and he needs an owner that will be firm with him. Bonnie loves her cuddles and will just lie on her back asleep.
They sleep in their own beds.
Have lived with a cat previously
Medical notes
Buttons has a heart murmur for which he may need heart medication in years to come but no immediate issues. Buttons has no issue walking however may require arthritis treatment and/or suppliments in the future for his back legs. The vet feels that he had untreated cruciate issues from years ago.
They both recently had dentals.

Adoption details
We list animals for adoption on Pet Rescue as well as on our own Animals-in-Need Website. We talk with people who contact about an animal to see what their needs and situation are. My emphasis is on getting the right animal for the people and the right people for the animal. If everyone's needs are met things usually work out well.
If the situation sounds good we arrange a meeting. If all goes well we let people try the animal out for a couple of weeks to ensure that everyone is happy.
We keep records of all adopters, follow up to ensure all is well and undertake to take back any animal if circumstances change.
