About 3511 - Douglas
💙🐈 MEET DOUGLAS 🐈💙
Hi, I’m Douglas but you can call me Dougie, Dougs, Dougie Wougie, Doug-a-Wugs, even Doug-a-lugs! I know, my foster mummy gets a bit silly with the names sometimes but I don’t mind.
I know, I know, I’m very handsome but don’t let my stunning, black panther good looks fool you. I’m looking for a very special home with someone who has plenty of time, patience and a lot of love for a work in progress like me.
You see, one day I found myself at the pound and it was all very scary. My foster mummy is an angel who saved my life and got me into care, so I could have a chance at a new life. They don’t know too much about my past but they think maybe I was a colony cat who’s never experienced the loving touch of a hooman before. Because of this, I still haven’t let my foster mum touch me.
I like to follow my foster mum all around the house, rubbing my head on the corner of the couch, the coffee table, the kitchen drawers, the chair legs, my toys etc. Mum thinks that one day, I will love chin scratches but taking that first step and trusting in hoomans is very scary for me. I hope one day soon, I will be brave enough!
Because I’m still learning how to put my best foot forward, I would like a nice, quiet home with no children please. I haven’t had experience with other cats or dogs in my foster home but I think I would really love to make some feline friends who can teach me all about being a good house cat. As long as we have a nice slow introduction I think we would get along just fine. I’m still working on my manners, so a friendly cat to teach me would be great!
I love being around my hooman and if I feel like I’m not getting the attention I deserve, I will be sure to let you know. I love play time, I can play for hours and never get bored. My favourite toy is a stick toy with a bird on the end. It’s looking a little worse for wear because I love it so much, but my foster mummy says that if I’m really lucky, I can take it with me to my new home.
My biggest love is my Dine creamy treats. Yum yum!! Even though I’m a silly boy who hasn’t discovered how wonderful chin scratches can be just yet, I happily lick my treat straight from foster mummy’s fingers every night. Sometimes I’ll even stand on her knee while I do it!
