About Leonard
Leonard was rescued two months ago. He's a 5 year old ginger, long haired king from the streets. He was friendly, but in pain.
He had third degree burns on all four of his paws.. they were all completely blackened, split and charred.
His gorgeous coat was filthy and so severely matted he had to be anaesthdetised to have it all shaved off. It was knotted right down to his skin. God knows how long he was in pain..
He had the briefest excited frolick when he came back from the vet, then quickly realised that his fur (and manhood) was gone. And he was not happy about it. Nor with foster mum!!
The next two months he has spent showing us he is grumpy to say the least.
Now he is a new cat! Leonard is now choosing to roam the house, rather than stay in the safety of his room. He is really starting to come out of his shell, finally.
This guy has no idea how to be an inside cat. But he's quickly learning thanks to his two foster brothers. Leonard is now cat friendly!
We know Leonard loves breakfast, lunch, dinner, dessert, breezy spots near the front door, snoozing on the couch. He gets scared by aerosol cans, washing baskets, loud noises, and too many pats.
This special boy may become a lap cat for the right owner. He today, jumped up for his first lap cuddle. It lasted one second, but it's a start.
Leonard is chilling in Wynnum West. He is ok with kids, but prefers the older type.
